We love our picturesque fynbos and indigenous oasis that Ian and his dedicated team at Exteriorscapes created. Ian has designed a space that emulates Kirstenbosch with a natural or organic appearance. The strategically positioned horizontal terraces, pavers and decking anchor and frame spaces where plants are permitted to grow freely and mirror nature herself. His mix of indigenous grasses and restios are interplanted in mass and add a softer backdrop to the pincushions, proteas, ericas, buchus and other colourful plants. The garden is environmentally and economically sensitive and the planting was according to the sun, shade, wind and typography. Their landscape expertise also included terracing a very steep site, decking, paths and stairs. Ian's team of builders are both meticulous and precise in their approach to construction. We have added many subsequent projects - decks, wooden tiering, vegetable boxes and wooden walls/dividers. Everything is carefully measured, constructed and clearly convey considerable masonry expertise. We continue to utilise the service of Exteriorscapes for maintenance and additional projects. I cannot emphasise enough they joy that Ian's landscaping has brought to us. He created a utopian paradise that provides many hours of happiness for our family and animals, and is greatly admired by those who visit.
